Welcome back.
Happy New Year!
The fish room is slowly taking shape. We are getting breeding tanks set up to house 10 species or so of apistos, more for corys, coral reds, weitzmani tetras and more. We will have decidated tanks for grow out and imports. There will be one wall of 80 tanks for breeding alone. The entire room will be totally insulated with insulation placed under all the bottom tanks. The floor space will be covered with heavy rubber mats that won't slip and will provide insulation and cushioning (bless my feet). This is of course going to take a little while to reach full capacity. We are taking our time and building slowly and selectively.
The apistos have started spawning. So far we have double red aggies, triple red cacs, borelli opal, veijita and panduro fry. . As we get established we plan on offering some of the rarer apistos but for now have started back with those most popular in the hobby. To date the cacs, aggies, borelli, panduro and veijita have all spawned with some young expected to be sold then end of February. With keeping 5 pairs of each we should have pairs available at all times. We do have one breeding pair of adoketa that we got recently but no fry yet. These guys are sure a challange! I still have that one unique pair of unidentified acara. I've showed them around but nobody has been able to ID them. I toted pics of them to the ACA and no IDs there. It seems we have stumbled upon a new acara. We have a few young and are getting them set back up for spawning. We will only be doing a very limited number of pairs of angelfish. One of course is our f1 pair of peruvian angels and a pair or two of the blue clowns. We have even added a pair or two of killies to round out the bunch.
The number of neon swords have grown (a really prolific bunch) and there will be pairs and trios by spring. In addition we have picked up some incredible hi-fin lyretail swords that we hope to be able to offer this summer. The first of the L052 are now ready to go!
I've added a new fish to the fishroom this past week! It's one I've been wanting for some time and stumbled across a tank of nice sized healthy Zebra Otos that I could not pass by. So far they are active and eating well.
Our goal now is to be fully operational by the end of July. We will continue to add tanks till we feel we have reached the maximum we can effectively care for (estimating approx 150 tanks).
Look what's New!!
It's been ages since I've had any swordtails. I saw these at an auction and had to bring them home. They are perfect additions to our plant tanks in the fishroom.
We have added some hi-fin lyretails to the fishroom and hope to have some of those available this summer as well as some stunning hi-fin platies. These make great additions to our plant tanks and give those tanks duel purpose.

Coming Early Spring!! L052

These will be ready to ship mid February. They will be approx 1.5 inches. Price is $10 each or 6 for $50.00. Taking pre-orders now.
